When I asked my mother -“What is love?”… She replied that “Love is the other phase of divine feeling”. I was very eager to experience the kind of love my mother had described. I believed that love is the only emotion in the world that is truly pure.
I finally found someone I was in love with one day. We both came to the realization that we belonged together. We went to visit our parents one lovely morning. Our parents turned us down without so much as batting an eye. I wrote him this-
From the day I saw thee first,
There was something wrong in my heart
I was unable to recognise what it was
Butterflies were flying all around in my heart
causing distress and suffering…
My eyes were refusing to see the beauty of the nature
Instead of that, they were searching just for
Your lovely face and sweet look,
Oh my God, how could I ever forget that time?
When you were in front of me,
I wasn’t prepared for my eyes to close.
Your sweet look, wonderful eyes,
Your smile, shining teeth
Your smartness dragged me to heaven
Your eyes were like peacock’s feather,
Your skin was as soft as rose petal
Your hair as soft as dove, which I love
My ears jive when I hear your melodious voice when you speak…
Your touch, your smiles made me feel
As someone had sprinkled holy water on me
It was that day, when we sat together, shared our feelings,
My entire memory of you is poisoning me slowly to death…
On that day, I found your love to me in your eyes;
I saw your care to me, you are afraid of this bad society,
Therefore, you are keeping it from me.
Please come and express your love,
My heart is beating just for you,
I am alive just because of you,
Since I am confident in the sincerity of your love, I will wait for you.
When you come and express your love immediately
In the sky and in my heart, your name will always be etched.
Simply because he practiced a different religion, my love was rejected. He wasn’t as comfortable as we were. He wasn’t from a highly developed society like ours. No one on the planet could have comprehended our love. They were only concerned with their reputation in society, status, and religion.
Then I realized there is no such thing as love in this world. It’s just a way for kids to pass the time and gain sexual benefit. The person who claims to love you to the moon and back deserts you once he achieves his goals. Money or sexual benefit could be involved. When you ask the person who claims his heart is entirely yours for his two kidneys instead of a heart, he reveals himself to be an unidentified person. Because “LOVE IS PURELY FICTIONAL,” this world is unreal.
